Andrea Grubb Barthwell, M.D., D.F.A.S.A.M., is the Founder of Encounter Medical Group, P.C., manages and consults through the global health care policy firm EMGlobal, and is Director at Two Dreams, a comprehensive alcoholism and addiction treatment system.

Reflecting her long-term commitment to individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), she was named as the founding Chair of the Board of the Foundation for Opioid Response Effort (FORE) with a $100 million endowment.

Dr. Barthwell served as Deputy Director for Demand Reduction in the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) under President George W Bush from 2002 to 2004. As a member of the President’s sub-cabinet, Dr. Barthwell was a principal advisor on policies aimed at reducing the demand for illicit drugs.

Dr. Barthwell’s current work is focused on developing strategies to expand access to treatment for opioid dependence disorder, expanding practitioner knowledge of urine drug testing in the identification and treatment of substance use disorders, and helping individuals and families prevent substance use disorders.

Dr. Barthwell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University and a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School.  Following post-graduate training at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University Medical Center, she began her practice in the Chicago area.  She was a founding member of the Chicago Area AIDS Task Force, hosted a weekly local cable show on AIDS, and was president of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).

In 2003, Dr. Barthwell received the Betty Ford Award from the Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse.  In 1997, Dr. Barthwell’s peers named her one of the “Best Doctors in America” in addiction medicine.

During his time at Millennium Health he built, grew and matured the technologies and teams responsible for building the integrations between the lab and their customers electronic medical records systems completing more than 3,000 interfaces with over 100 different vendors.

Brian has focused on building partnerships between diverse business units such as sales and business operations to ensure that the technologies enabled provide the nimbleness needed by the sales team while still meeting the needs of the business.

Through implementing strategies such as these, has been able to streamline operations, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.

Neil is the classic serial entrepreneur transitioning from writing sitcoms in Hollywood to real estate development and then technology – he has serve as CEO or Chairman of nine companies and invested in another dozen.

He is currently CEO of Blackbird Ventures, a small fund focused on very early stage companies.

Neil also teaches entrepreneurship, including courses at San Diego State University, UC San Diego, and an innovative program for inmates at Donovan State Prison.  An author of three books about lessons learned from his entrepreneurial journey, he writes a weekly column for the San Diego Union Tribune.  Neil holds a BA from Tufts University, a Master of the Arts, Photo Journalism from University of Missouri, a Master of the Arts, Cinema from New York University, a Fellowship with the American Film Institute, and a Certificate of Entrepreurship from Babson College.

Beth Crocker has spent more than two decades leading corporate finance teams in Silicon Valley.  She started her own consulting practice in 2016, providing fractional CFO services and M&A expertise to the public companies, board of directors, private equity firms and start-ups.  . She most recently served as CFO for, an international video streaming service provider. She also provided M&A diligence and integration services to a $3B international retailer, along with a $15B public Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).  Prior to starting her own business, Beth was Sr. Vice President, Finance for Rovi Corporation (now TiVo), a global leader in entertainment technology. She has served in a variety of finance roles over the past 25 years, working for technology companies including IBM and McAfee. She has also taken two companies public, and completed over 30 M&A transactions, project managing the due diligence process, deal negotiation and post-deal integration.  Beth also volunteers her time for several non-profit boards, previously acting as CFO for the Solana Beach Schools Foundation, and leading the Finance Committee for the Academy of Integrated Health & Medicine.  In her abundant spare time, she is also a viral blogger, key-note speaker, passionate advocate for gender equality, coffee drinker and world traveler.

Tom most recently served as CEO of Verimatrix, Inc., providing revenue security for multi-network, multi-screen video services worldwide.  He grew the company from start-up to $80M revenues, 300+ employees, 900+ customers in 110+ countries.  In 2019, Tom led the successful sale of Verimatrix to French security company Inside Secure, S.A.

Previously, Tom served as President of WFI, Inc., a designer, builder, and manager of celluar telecom networks in hundreds of markets.  Tom joined the company as its first outside executive, and went on to execute a successful NASDAQ IPO in 1999 (WFII), and grew the company to 2200+ employees with customers around the world.

Dr. Bruce J. Sachs, MD believes that having a personal relationship with his patients allows him the opportunity to be an effective listener, diagnostician and educator.

Dr. Sachs is passionate in his pursuit of cardiovascular disease stabilization and prevention, early disease detection, and maximizing quality of life. He believes this is best accomplished through a collaborative relationship with my patients. A graduate of UC San Diego, Dr. Sachs received his MD from American University of the Caribbean, then interned and undertook his residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center of Richmond. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been recognized as a “Best Doctor” in San Diego and Nationally.

He is also Active Staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas, Medical Director at Seacrest Village Retirement Communities, Advisory Staff for the San Diego Alzheimers Association, and an Advisory Member for the Biomedical Research Institutional Review Board.

With over 20 years of unique executive experience in Sales Management and Commercial Operations, John specializes in building and scaling sales infrastructure across a variety of companies and products..

Over the last 5 years, John served at Millennium Health in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently holding the position of Vice President of Commercial Operations where he was responsible for 450+ reports across Sales Operations, Customer Service, and Laboratory Assistant Teams.

Prior to Millennium Health, John was Director of Sales Operations with Genoptix Medical Laboratory and Cypress Bioscience where he was responsible for the commercial build out of the sales operations, supporting 100+ person sales forces and internal marketing and brand analytics.

John’s extensive sales and sales leadership experience has been a great asset in understanding the operational needs of commercial organizations. While still in college, John started his sales career selling yellow-page ads door-to-door to businesses in college markets across the country. This experience led him to his first job out of college as a pharmaceutical sales representative where he was promoted to sales trainer and then sales manager. As a sales manager, he built and led the top-performing sales team for consecutive years before moving into his eventual operations roles.

John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Danny has over 15 years of multi-faceted financial leadership in Accounting, Advising, and Infrastructure Development.

Currently the Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance for Millennium Health, Danny has been instrumental in building out finance, accounting, and operational functions that raised over 2BN in capital.

Prior to joining Millennium Health, Danny was a Director with KPMG, LLP on the Healthcare Transaction Services Team, advising strategic and private equity clients on both sell-side and buy-side transactions. With target acquisitions ranging from 10M to 2BN, Danny assisted clients on more than 10BN in executed transactions.

Preceding his advisory experience, Danny worked in public accounting with Katz, Sapper, and Miller in Indianapolis where he earned his Certified Public Accountant license before earning the same in California.

Danny received a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He also studied Economics of European Integration and Intercultural Communication at the University of Maastricht.

Previously, as Chief Technology Officer for Being Human, David created internet platforms that allowed the public to access the benefits of the explosive growth in the neuroscience community. In the same role with Drum Channel, David engineered online music education technology that enabled clients to receive instruction from world class drummers like Ringo Starr and Neil Peart, the website itself winning Best Drum Website four years in a row.

As Director of Network Services with Guidance Solutions, David supported clients through the entire ideation, design, and implementation process for sites like: The National Football League, Foot Locker, The J. Paul Getty Research and Conservation Institutes, and Mandalay Bay Resort Group. Before that, as Director of Technology and Business Development for Rotor Communications, David innovated new delivery methods for Internet-based, live interactive media, paving the way for the current range of products on the market today.

David began his career in the 1980s building computers and networks before joining Earthlink as their Network Manager, helping to grow the then neighborhood start-up into the third largest ISP in the world. Leveraging that success, he moved into a Network Manager role with Leiner Health Products, at the time, America’s largest manufacturer of vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements.

David’s pioneering work has been featured in publications ranging from Internet Week to the Los Angeles Times and even BPM Magazine. Over the years, David has acquired 13 certifications and degrees. He even even opened a cutting edge cafe in the heart of Hollywood called Badlanz. It was there that he mixed Art, Technology and Gaming, to create a unique environment that gained Badlanz national attention.
